Robodebt Debacle 2.0

The Government admitted it stole money from 373,000 people through its disastrous Robodebt scheme, causing serious anxiety and long-term harm.

In helping South Australians, I have discovered that the Government is AGAIN attempting to avoid its commitment to pay back stolen money by deceptively 'averaging' or 'apportioning' debts - even if people provided Centrelink with payslips.

The scale of this exploitation is shocking, with up to 184,000 vulnerable Australians including up to 15,500 South Australians not being refunded!

This is completely unacceptable and must be urgently addressed. If you agree with me, please sign my petition!

$320 might not be a lot to some people, but it is a lot to me! I can’t believe the Gov still won’t pay this money back to me even though it was incorrectly calculated from my payslips. I'm grateful Rex has told me he won’t stop fighting until I get my money back

I paid a 9 year old debt assuming the Government must be right and wouldn’t lie to me. It is disappointing that they wouldn’t pay me back until I took my case to the Tribunal. Thank you Senator Patrick for helping uncover the Government’s misconduct

After going through one of the toughest times in my life, I was shocked when Centrelink told me I had a debt. Rex listened to me and persuaded Centrelink to waive my debt because it was illegally calculated and because of what I went through. Thank you Rex!

Will you sign?

To the Honourable President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled:

I support Senator Rex Patrick’s petition calling on the Government to pay back all illegal Robodebts calculated using averaging or apportionment.

I urge the Senate to call on the Government to pay back all stolen Robodebt money.
